EU taxonomy

Sustainable financing plays an important role in achieving the EU’s political objectives. The EU Action Plan on Financing Sustainable Growth led to the creation of the EU taxonomy, a classification system for sustainable economic activities. It is intended to support the identification of companies that contribute to climate neutrality. Based on the EU taxonomy, an analysis of the financial year 2020 was undertaken in collaboration with the advisory and auditing company Deloitte. 50Hertz has placed sustainability at the centre of its business strategy. The 2023 results confirmed that 50Hertz is strongly aligned with the EU taxonomy in terms of its turnover (around 99.7%) as well as its capital expenditure (CAPEX, 99.4%) and operational expenditure (OPEX, 99.1%).
